Project JUICE (JUpiter ICy moons Explorer) is a mission of European space agency ESA to planet Jupiter and its moons Europa, Ganymede and Callisto. The probe will orbit Jupiter and at the end of the mission it will orbit the moon Ganymede.

The Department of Space Physics IEP-SAS contributes to development and construction of particle detection science suite PEP (Particle Environment Package) and particularly its plasma analyzer JDC (Jovian plasma Dynamics and Composition) in the frame of scientific-technical collaboration with Swedish Institute of Space Physics IRF in Kiruna. Within this cooperation and with ESA-PECS project support an anti-coincidence detector ACM (Anti-Coincidence detector Module) has been developed at IEP-SAS. The ACM provides detection of disturbing penetrating high-energy particles to the JDC sensor, thus more efficient detection of the regular plasma particles is provided.
