The SK-1 apparatus has been constructed at DSP-IEP-SAS in cooperation with
Technical University Košice, Physical Institute in Saint Petersburg and Astronomical Institute in Prague,
Czech republic for space exploration mission INTERKOSMOS-17.
The device provided registration of space neutrons and gamma rays.
The most valuable are science data about distribution of so called "albedo neutrons"
that originate from the nuclear reactions between cosmic energetic particles and
atoms of the Earth's upper atmosphere.
